DAY 5 AMELIA'S ISLAND & NEPTUNE BEACH FLORIDA ATLANTIC OCEAN BEACH HOPPING HONEYMOON

DAY 5 AMELIA'S ISLAND & NEPTUNE BEACH FLORIDA ATLANTIC OCEAN

After mostly rainy days on the Florida Gulf Coast, we awoke morning of Day 5 with a dilemma. Did we stay in Panama City Beach, knowing the weather forecast was more of the same? (rainy mornings, and maybe a little sun in the evening) Or...drive to the Atlantic Coast, where is was forecast to be 91 degrees and sunny! Guess what we decided?

We headed out that morning, following the forecast, hoping for a total sunny day! We got it! What a beautiful day, and a more beautiful destination. A place I had seen on the Travel Channel...Amelia's Island. Remote, natural, and miles of pristine beaches!

We entered our location through Talbot's State Park. The State Parks of any state are the best idea, because most of the have bathrooms, and alot of them have showers, laundry, etc. It was a natural setting with lots of sand dunes, and a long boardwalk to the beach.

The waves were amazing! I was used to the Pacific Ocean (growing up in Southern California) and these waves didn't disappoint! We did some body surfing, gathering of shells, catching some rays, and had a nice picnic. The waves were way bigger than the Gulf Coast!

That afternoon, after early 4 hours, we were in need of a good meal, and a hotel room. Since this was an impromptu destination, we had not booked a campsite at the Talbot State Park. They were full! Ok, we thought, we'd drive down to the famous Neptune Beach, in search of both!

We found a nice enough hotel, and unpacked for the night. We were exhausted! 5 Days, endless driving, a few glitches, but lots of fun, and a lifetime of memories! We just chilled that night at the hotel, to rest, and take it all in! We ordered pizza delivery to our hotel room. We didn't even have energy to go out, or swim in their nice pool!

Here is our night 5 Video, a "Thankful" final thoughts video. You can see how exhausted we were! God had brought us through it all, and we had a lifetime of memories to show!

Thank you all for coming along with us on our journey! We appreciate each and every one of you! It was the honeymoon of a lifetime! Over 2000 miles, across 6 states, 2 Oceans, 3 State Park Campgrounds, 3 Hotels, and lots of fun and adventures in between! We will never forget this, and want to pass these memories along to our kids, and grandkids, and others through this blog, so it will live on!

Take Care, and until next time...
