RING LIGHT
The handy dandy RING LIGHT is the best for Makeup Videos. You might already know this, but the placement is always hard to perfect. If you place it too high, it creates shadows, and too low, it can wash you out!. Yuk! The perfect placement is at eye level, about 2.5 feet from your face.
How do I do this, you ask? When I'm at my Vanity or Makeup Counter in the Bathroom? It takes a different set up. Position your Vanity, or table, in the center of your studio, or any filming space with enough room. Place the RING LIGHT directly in front of you at eye level, and check the brightness level, where it most flatters your face!...Perfect placement means PERFECT VIDEOS!

BOX LIGHT
The BOX LIGHT is also a good pick for STUDIO TYPE VIDEOS, or Makeup Tutorial Videos. It takes TWO to get even light distribution, but can easily be placed using the same principles as above with the RING LIGHT.
Place one on each side of where you are sitting or standing. Place them at eye level, but these light need at LEAST 3 feet in distance from your face to flatter you the best.
When placed in front of your Vanity or Table, place One on the Left side, and One on the Right side. Test the Lighting distance, as all lights are different.
